Holidays With an Oceanic Twist
It is the 4th day of our Memories of Sea and Sand Event and we are here to tell you that even though it’s getting colder outside, your beach décor doesn’t need to hide away. Here are some tips to decorate your home for the holidays with a dash of sun and salt water.
A quick and easy way to match your beach décor with the holidays is to give both beach and holiday embellishments a taste of the other. Using the cool colors of the beach against the warmer hues that seasons like autumn and winter call for can make for a “popping” display in your home. We love the way this aqua Beach Days reed diffuser ($24) stands out against the red wall and festive Juniper & Shells Nantucket Wall Basket ($72).
We threw traditional holiday wreaths to the curb in favor of the Juniper & Shells Nantucket Wall Basket ($72) and a decorated driftwood wreath ($135) for the front door. We also love the idea of swapping out everyday holiday coasters with these festive Christmas Sea Creatures coasters ($54).
Another idea is to trade your Christmas tree topper for a big starfish and switch some of the ornaments for seashells.
Mix it up and create a centerpiece for your table by filling a glass bowl with sand and seashells and adding smaller Christmas tree ornaments into the mix.
